“Arcana”

This film was made as a final project for one of my senior year film classes at Wellesley. My professor, Jessica Sarah Rinland, works only in film in her own films. So she brought a Bolex H16 for us to use and I really fell in love. I decided to do my final using the Bolex and some old 16mm film I bought on eBay. The project, more than anything, was just me learning how to shoot film and play around. It became this experimental, rambling, portrait of people and places I cared about.
